Adobe Acrobat Reader Help

To view Streetwise Seller Financing, it is necessary to have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC. We recommend that version 4 or higher is used. A free download is available.

If you are experiencing problems viewing PDF files (ie. blank screen or incomplete documents) then you may wish to configure the Adobe Acrobat Reader so that it runs as a separate program when viewing a file, rather than as a 'plug-in' within your internet browser. To do this please follow the instructions below:

Version 4
Version 5
Start the Adobe Acrobat Reader programStart the Adobe Acrobat Reader program
Go to File Go to Edit
Choose Preferences Choose Preferences
Select General Select Options
Untick 'Web Browser Integration'Untick 'Display PDF in browser'
Click OK Click OK

Now when you click on a PDF document the Adobe Acrobat Reader will open the file in a new window. The file can be printed from here using the print icon or File/Print.

If you continue to have problems or get the error "The file is damaged ......" try refreshing the page (hit reload in your browser, or press F5) or return to the page that contained the link and click on it again.

Problems printing a PDF?

When printing Adobe Acrobat PDF files from within your web browser, do NOT use the web browser print function. Instead, use the print button at the left end of the special Adobe Acrobat tool bar, which appears immediately above the viewing window (see illustration to right). You will then get a "Print" pop-up window which will give you several options, including the option to print the entire document, or you can specify 1 or more pages to print.

If you are able to open the file, but are unable to print it, you might try these suggestions from Adobe:

1. If you have Acrobat Reader 5, choose File > Print, and deselect the "Optimize for Speed" option in the Print dialog box, and try printing again.

2. In either Acrobat Reader 4 or 5, choose File > Print, and check the "Print As Image" option in the Print dialog box, and try printing again.
